2001: Exceptional Year
2001 was a year with precipitation at the right time and without excess just like temperatures. A great vintage.
The wines are exceptionally complete, fresh, a complex fruitiness, rich material and a beautiful tannic texture give the cuvées of the estate an exceptional potential of preservation.
Relatively dry autumn, wet winter, medium wet spring, dry summer and harvest in good weather. The harvest this year was on average due to a medium dry and warm summer.
Yields slightly above average, the grapes reached full maturity without problems with a little delay compared to an average year. The wines are structured with an exceptional material that gives them complexity, finesse, length and a great potential for preservation.
